Northern Mockingbird  in southern Texas.

This outstanding singer eats mostly insects in summer, amplified with berries in the winter. Birds of this species can live for about 15 years. Males build several nests for the female to pick from, and she finishes the lining.

It's called "Northern" because it's range reaches farther north than any other of the mockingbirds.
