The Quigley house at Kantishna. This is the end of the park road (95 miles). Fannie and Joe Quigley arrived at Kantishna during the brief 1905-6 gold rush. They separated soon after, and Fannie lived on in this house until her death. Kantishna is now a private enclave in the middle of Denali National Park - the mining claims were passed down and have been turned into hotels and resorts.

Next, we'll show you some of the wildlife we saw on our bus trip from Teklanika to Kantishna and back. These photos were all taken through the shuttle bus window. It was a 9-hour ride. Not to be missed.
