The Haines Highway ends at Haines Junction, where the road joins the Alaska Highway.

Haines Junction (seen here in the distance) was established in 1942 as construction barracks during building of the Alcan. Today it is the gateway to Kluane National Park and a stopping point for Alaska Highway travellers. We took a break here to buy provisions and lunch, and collect information at the Kluane Visitors Center.
